Review on Enhanced USB-C Dual 4K Universal Docking Station with USB C Power Delivery - SABRENT DS-WSPD by Bubba Ott

Our business has been shifting to USB-C laptops for 2-3 years; and while great docking features are promised, there just haven't been any good docking stations on the market. Anyone who has had trouble getting one of Dell's docking stations to work knows what I'm talking about. This USB-C charging dock from Sabrent seems to be changing that — mostly because it just works. Here's what I like about mine: - As I mentioned, it just works. With Windows 10 I connected it, the operating system recognized the drivers and I didn't have to do anything else. The function was really flawless. I use it on a Dell Precision laptop and a 43 inch monitor with no problems. It has all the necessary ports; While there are a few more I'd like to ask if I designed it myself (more on that below.) - There are currently 3 models on this product page so the reviews are confusing as to whether it supports charging. The USB-C Triple Display Dock supports charging of the connected device. - The performance is very good. This dock definitely deserves 5 stars over other products on the market, but there are still a few things to note: - This model supports charging, but only at 60W. I have not encountered any issues as a software developer using a Dell Precision laptop , but Windows shows a small yellow icon on the power indicator, indicating that the charger is not getting enough power. You may need to supply an extra power adapter if you're doing something that draws consistently higher power (in my case the W charge drops a bit when I compile a lot, but recovers quickly). - If I had the option to add my own connectors to this dock, I would change one of the DisplayPort connectors to Mini DisplayPort instead. . Also, I would put more USB ports on the front of the dock, even if I had to sacrifice a few on the back. Now we have 2 such ports in our office and both are working fine; so we're going to start switching everyone to them. If you're looking for a USB-C charging station, this is the best I've used - and we've tried at least half a dozen different models.
