When it arrived I was very impressed with the construction, very solid. I was disappointed in the lack of basic instructions and a simple template for drilling pilot holes. Went to install and found that the top screw hole is basically inaccessible unless you hold the spring loaded locking lever in a very tight position. I've been going through the setup and trying to test it, but found that it needs to be adjusted to a specific height for the support arm to retract. The cam lifter will not work if the device is set too high. The adjustable rubber foot did not correct this design flaw. Again, instructions for the correct mounting height would explain this. I removed and reinstalled it to get the lift arm cam to work. Then I discovered that the rubber foot doesn't stick to the ground, it only allows a small portion of the rubber to touch the ground and glides across the ground with no traction. This will likely work on carpet, but definitely not on wood or tile floors. The adjustable rubber foot feature didn't fix this design flaw. I'm a retired mechanical engineer and I believe my analysis of very poor design and marketing is correct. I think about the hassle of getting it back, but I'm also tempted to throw it in the trash and accept my loss. I am also very annoyed that I now have six screw holes in the edge of my solid wood door. My advice, this is a very poorly designed product. Do not buy this product, it is rubbish.
