I have tried my best to verify this. I never check anything. For $20, you can't beat this product. I am a greek. As you know, Mediterranean people are quite hairy. I was looking for a product that would be convenient for me to manicure the family jewels. I've always been afraid of cutting myself because I've done it multiple times. This trimmer won't cut you, although you'll need to do multiple passes to get all the hair. You sure can cut. And with a short head, it's damn close to a razor. I am very happy. As for shaver life and all, it's too early to tell you but for the price I would buy it again if this thing stopped working within 6 months.
