I have been using this GE shower filter for about 12 years. I used to buy it from our local Home Depot but they no longer sold it. I love how my hair looks when I use the filter. Without them, my hair looks rough and coarse. It also helps protect my shower from hard water buildup. I change the filter every 2-3 months depending on how many times you shower per day or per week. I would advise you to unscrew and screw the filter cap back on a little every month as some lime builds up inside which otherwise gets stuck and makes it difficult to open. You don't have to, but I do. This isn't a product defect, it's just the calcium you keep off your hair and body that's being filtered out and pooling at the junction. I would recommend everyone to use this shower filter.
