I use a Canon 5d Mark3 and was looking for a telephoto zoom lens. The Canon 400mm or 600mm equivalent is prohibitively expensive. So I looked for an alternative. I was a bit skeptical about the Sigma (as I only own a whole box of Canon L-series lenses). I took spare change and bought a Sigma 60mm-600mm (after reading all the reviews). After receiving the lens I wasted no time and started photographing all the birds in my garden. To my surprise, the images came out very clear and well focused. The auto focus is fast. I also tried using autofocus with the Sigma 1.4x extender. Works well. I actually used a Canon 2x extension with a Sigma lens. Although the autofocus doesn't work, I was able to click images with manual focus. So you can get 1200mm at f13. Good on a bright sunny day. In general, I am very satisfied with the lens.
