This is actually the first "oil" I've used on my facial hair - I've had a mustache and goatee for over 40 years. It has a pleasant smell, the smell of vanilla prevails. The tobacco is barely perceptible and tames the vanilla a bit (so you smell more like grandpa than grandma). This is a good alternative to the traditional Bay Rum flavor. Easy to apply and seems to last several hours with normal activity. It softens the fur on the face well without leaving a greasy sheen. Leaves a slight shine. It also helps make combing a little easier and helps keep everything in place. I'll probably get more if I run out of this stock. In general very satisfied.
