I first bought a 1/16 sheet after reading reviews and comments. I had to make replacement seals for plastic gas bottles. In my case, the 1/16" thickness was too thin for a good seal. I bought this material 1/8" thick and tried again. It was the perfect thickness for my particular jugs and stopped leaking in the back of my pickup truck when I went camping or hunting. I shook the jugs and intentionally kicked them pretty hard while they were filled with gas. It doesn't drip a bit. Time will tell how the material holds up to the effects of gas, but so far so so good. Warning: since they don't leak, they don't breathe either. Be very careful how full your jugs are when it's hot. I could see this being a problem if you're not careful.
