To Tie or Not to Tie

This is my second order of this style of top. The first one was in a stripe, and has a soft and slouchy fit, with long sleeves I like to push up. Fun look with the front tie, and the texture of the thermal fabric. Great transition season top.I decided to get the short sleeve version, in the blue/grey camo to go with jeans and sweats. I went down one size, from xl to large for a more trim look. The first thing I noticed was that the waffle weave fabric had a different structure which made a thicker texture. And because of the thickness, the tie ends were hardly long enough to make a knot, much less hanging tails. My solution, because I wanted to keep it, was to hand sew the front extensions back on themselves making a curved shirttail hem.Take a close look at your selections, to determine the thickness, and how well it will work into a tie front if that's the look you want. Also, this style falls quite deep in the vee front on me, which may necessitate an under layer for some people.

Cons
  • The blouse lacks shape and structure, making it unflattering on some body types
