My grandson received this christening present. Although he is only 8 months old, he has charmed him and provides him (and therefore us) with hours of entertainment every week. True, at this stage of development, he first disassembles the toy and puts the animals in his mouth, and we collect it again and repeat, repeat and repeat. I have no doubt that one day he will develop the fine motor skills needed to perform more complex functions. He loves it so much we bought it for a friend of 1 year old who squealed with delight when she opened her gift and couldn't wait to open it. I guess she was attracted to colors and fun animals. The toy has been badly battered in the month it has been with her grandson - it washes well and does not chip. Great gift!
