After reading negative reviews about the leak I decided to test this soap making mold, assembled it without clamps and filled it with water. No leakage! It was difficult to seal properly, but no more so than any other silicone pillar mold I use. As for support, it is necessary for all column shapes when storing liquids. Once my soap has set sufficiently, I remove the mold from the container and set it on its side to get rid of the slight bend due to its support. A NOTICE. My review is for soap making only. I have no experience with resin or other substances that can expand when cured.
