I originally bought this for my FeiyuTech A2000c gimbal, but gave it up because it felt too light. I also didn't like how it was off-center to the gimbal. However, I've used it really well on a carbon fiber tripod. I screwed it to the center column and will mount the camera gimbal on it so I don't have to extend the legs to the right height. I'm waiting for the 1/4" to 3/8" adapter that I need to install the stabilizer on this extension. The carbon fiber pattern matches my tripod perfectly. I have to explain that my tripod doesn't have a handle that raises the center column. Instead, I have an adjustable shell mount that I can mount a sniper rifle on, allowing me to stand up on uneven terrain without having to adjust each leg individually. To get the camera to the right height, I have to stretch my legs. With the extension cord installed, this is no longer a problem. I only need to lengthen the section attached to the tripod legs to get the height I need without lengthening the other two sections on each leg. Good.
