I have a 2017 15 inch MacBook Pro and bought 3 of these to connect to power, an external drive etc. You connect correctly to the MacBook, but not correctly to the computer. 87W USB-C power adapter. Are there any differences between the physical port interfaces that need to be considered? I have neither read nor heard that. But those cables just don't fit the 2017 15" MBP's USB-C port. However, I just read a customer review of the Revain where I looked at the cable specs, and if I had done that before ordering, I would have I couldn't get these fancy USB-C to USB-C without the USB 3.1 Gen spec 2 used by the newer MacBooks. Now I've noticed that the product description says this cable only has the USB 2.0 spec and does not support the USB 3.1 Gen specification 2.
