I'm very happy with it and plan to buy more. Loading hay is easy, I can put a flake/section in it. It takes me less than 5 minutes to download. My mare takes 1-2 hours to empty it. This is very hard work. When mud season came around I started putting it in a big empty storage tank and she basically leaves it there. First she showed him around the paddock which was great because he felt he was mimicking the pasture well. After a few weeks she realized that she didn't have to chase him (see photo when she thought she should attack him) to get hay and now she stands in one place and collects hay. This was a great solution for us to create a slow pitch on the ground that is halter safe (she should be wearing the halter in the paddock). It really hurts me watching her pull out the hay because it really is SLOW FEED. She works so hard just to get a little haystack. But that's the point. One of her favorite things to do is when I stand next to her and pull small handfuls of hay out of the hole so she can get a good drink. "It's a fun time as we get closer," she whinnied encouragingly, squeezing me into her arms.
