These jeans are very stretchy. I am currently a little heavier than normal, and at 5'5", 143 I ordered a large first and found them too big. I ordered the medium and there is so much stretch I probably could have gone with a small. The reason I am not keeping them is the length is too short for me. These pants have a 31" inseam on both sizes I tried. These were very comfortable and if they would have been longer (or if my legs were shorter) I would have kept them.
