Review on 🍪 ChefGiant Stainless Steel Flour Sifter: 5 Cup Rotary Hand Crank, 16 Fine Mesh Screen for Corrosion Resistant Baking by Debbie Daly

I bought this S/S version to replace an old rusty strainer that was rusting my new kitchen countertops. I read the reviews and thought mine was better. Unfortunately, this only works with a lot of persuasion. My old rusty version only has two (2) bales, holds half as much and is rusty but easily outperforms this higher capacity four (4) bale screen. This one could be shiny and new, roomier and more comfortable, but it should get the job done! I had to hit from the side with a spatula so the flour went through the sieve. Bales are useless! Somewhere along the line someone seems to have overlooked that the bales MUST rub against the screen. It's about 1/32" to 1/16" so the bales just kick up the flour and almost nothing goes through the sieve. Luckily I kept Old Rusty and I just need to be more careful with my counters.
