Used for a non-gaffer solution. Thin leatherette covering of arm pads on a chair were splitting. Sealed with AirStop (the seal worked great, just kept having new areas of splitting) then wrapped first spots with Pro-Gaff. New spots (less pressure on these areas) wrapped with X-Fasten.The Pro-Gaff has been on there for > 1 yr and ZERO signs of wear, lifting, etc, and I have pretty bony elbows. The X-Fasten <1yr started to crack and peel. In the picture the Pro-Gaff is on the left and the X-Fasten is the single strip on the right. When pulling off the tape, some of the adhesive remained attached to the chair arm. It was easy to pull off but definitely separated from the tape. Took it a few months to fail, though, so for shorter term or less strenuous use it will probably hold up ok. The Pro-Gaff (if you walk into the Quixote studio store this is what is on the shelf) top coating is significantly more flexible and, in this case, durable.
