I've wanted something like an old fashioned cold cream with basic makeup remover ingredients for a long time. In recent years, Ponds has started adding substances to their products that I can't pronounce and I try not to put harsh chemicals on my face. Then I tried the Cleansing Balm makeup remover. I like something made more for dry skin based on natural oil and this was exactly what I was looking for. Removes make-up, moisturizes and rinses off with a damp cloth. It smells heavenly and my skin loves it. With that in mind, and I'm keeping five stars to myself, those who use 24-hour mascara or longer-lasting makeup products may need a follow-up cleanser. It's not a harsh makeup remover that I personally like, but someone who wants a more intense product that also removes oil from their face might not like it. But the great thing if you have dry skin like me is that this product doesn't strip your skin of its natural emollients. For me the perfect answer to the disappearance of the good old cold creams. It's simple, does what it's supposed to and feels good on the skin. (For sensitive skin, I don't know if this is a good choice for her. I can't use chemical peels or acid/oil based products and it didn't help. Irritating to my skin)
