It has been serving me faithfully for 4 years already. Despite the bundled Y-cable, it works great with the only USB 3.0 - there is enough power from a computer / laptop. I did not try to make friends with smartphones / tablets. Perhaps then an additional USB tail for power would come in handy. The silicone case not only adds personality to the exterior and protects the inside from shock, but also ensures a secure fit on a flat surface. Accidentally brushing it off the table will not be an easy task. The reviews write about some sluggishness when reading / writing. But, come on, the manufacturer honestly stated that it has a spindle speed of only 5400 rpm and the buffer volume is not very large. In any case, movies in Blu Ray from it are played without gaps in frames, music in flac also plays without delay. It feels like the speed of copying to it is approximately equal to 1 GB / min (at least the same blue-ray, at least throw folders with mp3, at least pictures from the camera). Justifies its money - and no more.
