Bought these for a two week trip to the Pacific Northwest that was equal parts city hiking and backcountry exploration. I used the European size and it fit exactly as expected. Shoes arrived in new condition. Very comfortable on and off asphalt. 9-10 miles a day in Seattle with no leg or back pain at the end of the day proved that the arch support is top notch. Off-road, they climbed over slippery surfaces, provided stability on loose rock, and kept my feet dry the whole time. It also offers excellent toe protection. Very happy with the performance for the price. I expect they will hold up as well as the other mesh Salomons I've used swamp hiking in the last 4 years.
