My drawbars kept falling off under the weight of the things I was hanging on. While these metal braces are designed to support closet rods, they also work well to prevent horizontal tie rods from loosening and sliding/falling. Just make sure you measure the elastic leg of the tie rod to make sure the diameter of that leg is large enough for the legs to be snug on both ends. The metal brackets are a substantial metal weight (will not bend or break) and easily attach to the side panel of the cabinet. I highly recommend drilling a small pilot hole before attaching with the included screws. FYI, these staples are a shiny steel color. The misleading shade of red shown in the images is simply a reflection of the red box next to the brackets.
