The best feature of dbvisualiser in my opinion would be that it can compare different databases versions side by side which helps me solve some problems i have come across while working with sql server oracle etc. I dislike its interface very much as compared to other tools available like SQL Compare/Merge Advisor but since this software was free so there wasn't any harm done :). Well if you are looking at comparing two similar tables then yes use DB Visualize otherwise stick with your favourite tool (like SSMS) else go ahead!! But just try not to get too hooked up because once started using one will never switch back! We used visualise many times when we were troubleshooting various issues relating to our primary data source where ever changes made got reflected instantly without having to re-run queries over again hence saving time.
