Review on Socobeta Camcorder Portable Children Digital by Neil Bodell

I bought this camera to replace my previous one. The old one's video switch broke rendering it unusable and also unrepairable. So I received this today, Sunday, and opened the box and pulled out the camera instructions and USB cable. I already had a 32g memory card from someone else. The other took great pictures, very clear, with great color and zoom. I put in the EverReady Energizer Triple-A batteries and went to insert a memory card. It was difficult to find a place. It wasn't in the battery compartment like the previous camera. Finally found it's at the bottom of the cell. The slot is much smaller than the other. You need a memory card like in a mobile phone. So I took one out of an old cell phone and put it in. Big mistake. He went sideways and then fell straight into the cell. I heard him shaking there. So much for that. Decided to turn it on anyway. He turned it on and said there was no card and the batteries were low. So I plugged it into my computer's USB port to charge it. Five minutes later I hear a bang. I looked around, it was a camera. Has it burned down? No, one of the batteries burst due to overcharging. I took it out and cut my finger removing the hot battery. There was also battery acid paste all over the camera and my fingers. I had to wash it off. Batteries cleaned and replaced. got it turned on to see if it works. All it did was display a messy screen. I've tried removing the batteries and turning them back on to see if a reset is needed. Same thing, just a different messed up screen. At that moment I thought of putting it on the stove and burning it. It was Sunday and I was still busy searching the internet to see what kind of memory could be put in this thing. Burning this thing seemed religious and all on a Sunday, so I just threw it in the trash. So that's $30. One good thing I can say is that it was great and the shipping was very fast.
