I'm not sure if today's tires need to be weatherproofed, but figured I'd follow tradition and have my tires covered. Sometimes my trainer sits for over a year and I don't want to spend money on tires because I didn't protect the ones I had. So I bought her. Materials - vinyl. measure tyres. Order the right thing. They slide over the top of the tires and snap behind. So yes, you have to get on your hands and knees and crawl around your tires to get them in place. Now they work. At least I think so. I've never had a problem with unprotected tires, but whatever. Clean, tidy, seems to work.
