Review on Retekess HR11S Green Solar Crank Phone Charger Survival Radio – Shortwave Emergency Radio with SOS Alert, AM FM SW, Flashlight, TF Port, Clock by India Stack

For the price, I expected better reception, but as with most attempts at making a compact "emergency" radio, the FM/SW pin is too short, which SW reception directly affects VHF reception to some extent but not as much as SW reception except for the LED/siren the Kaito KA29 handles everything better, also the green backlight retains night vision better than the HR115's white backlight. The Kaito KA29 can be purchased here at Revain for $35. I bought mine almost new for less than $20 on another site from a reputable seller with 2 day shipping as they are about 100 miles from where I am located. It struck me that another reviewer had a photo with an attachable antenna extender that they didn't mention in their review, they may have mentioned elsewhere, like in the video narration. Battery size aside, I prefer the $16 I paid for the POVO handheld radio, assuming it doesn't have SW (and I didn't overpay for it at Revain either), but it does have a useful NOAA, AM / F reception M and tf (micro sd card) with mp3 playback function. I'll have to dig up one of my antenna extensions if I'm going to see the benefit of the Retekess HR115 SW's reception, but I don't have to as the Whip should be fine for HF reception as I have plenty of DSP based radios that few Have static or receive sensitivity issues and can be purchased here at Revain for less than $20 and have the same compact size but superior performance. Reception, an example is the XHDATA D-328, I hesitate to recommend the D-38 because although the first sample I received was flawless, the second one I bought had so many inconsistencies that I hesitate, to buy more, but you can get a good example that doesn't have all the problems I had with the second device. At least with an analogue unit (XHDATA D-328) there doesn't seem to be too many things that could possibly go wrong as it is an analogue display only and it has very strong software reception (better than any other radio based DSP I ever had) and it even outperforms some of the superheterooptic receivers I have, so I'll probably order more XHDATA D-328s as they seem like good compact units. Again, no antenna extension is required to pick up HF stations using just the built-in whip antenna, and the D-328 has the added benefit of being powered by a BL-5C battery, but if you need a small HF radio , this can also be powered by ordinary AA batteries (3), (and BL-5C) there is a Supersonic SC-1080BT, now the SC-1080BT doesn't sound as good as the D-328, but it still has normal KW -Reception that is better than the Retekess HR115 (without the need to add an external antenna extension).
