Linux Perspective Computers and Accessories

advantages : Professional reviews indicate that this drive performs relatively poorly. I've found that this is often not accurate because they rely on synthetic benchmarks. My test for this drive on Mint 18.3 and a Z270 i5-7400 platform was to create a 6GB RAM_Disk and transfer 5.5GB of mixed files to an SSD using Ext4. The speed was 9 seconds. My best high-end discs gave 8 seconds. The boot time from the start menu to the desktop is 10 seconds, which is exactly the time of my expensive SSDs. The shutdown time is the same. The distinguishing feature of OCZ/Toshiba drives is a bootable toolkit that offers complete independence from Windows. This GUI toolkit also works flawlessly on most Linux distributions. As good as they really are, you don't have to worry about Smartmon or Gsmartcontrol tools to get accurate SMART information, and you can update the firmware online. Checking pruning: [sudo hdparm -I /dev/sda

Pros
  • Incredible sequential read/write performance: up to 555 MB/s and 540 MB/s respectively and random read/write IOPS performance: up to 82 KB and 88 KB respectively
Cons
  • There are nuances
