After filling with sand, the base became solid. It's a metal stand that makes it almost useless for those who actually exercise. The lower 2 parts look a bit cheap, but are ok. Weak points are the upper part that holds the bag and the level control with a plastic ring and rotary knob. The top keeps falling off unless I reset the button every few minutes. I've only had it for a few days and feel like I need to tape/tape it or find some other way to make it work for some time. For an adult, this is normal at best. It works great for my kid when they use it.
