I've had speakers that required 1/4"20 screws. These brackets weren't designed for them. They came with smaller screws to fit their smaller hole. universal "I had to buy 1/4" screws and drill a hole to make it bigger After installation, a few things stood out: 1. The position is very tight and the bracket would restrict access to the speaker wire terminals blocking unless I installed them upside down no retractable hand positioning is very limited I couldn't tilt them the way I wanted as my speakers would bang on the wall if I didn't turn them sideways The plastic was flimsy My satellites weighed just under over 4lbs but they were quite heavy Bend the plastic no way would I trust these mounts to be over seven P hold fund. I bought them instead and I couldn't be happier: https://www.amazon.com/gp/p Produkt/B00COH7KRII. smaller, lighter speakers with 4mm or 5mm holes and completely different requirements than mine would do the job. They just suck to me and their "general" claim is obviously false advertising. Just put the screw size in the description and you may have better ratings. They didn't even bother to return them. They just went in the trash.
