Review on πŸ’‘ BMK 150W AC to DC Converter: Powerful 110V to 12V Power Supply with USB Ports and Car Socket by Tom Plowman

Handles high watts and amps like a champ!

This is a great little AC/DC converter. I wasn't sure if it would do what I planned because it used 30 watts less than I really needed, but I thought it would do a really good test for it. I had a mini rice cooker which I thought was intended for home use or when traveling but when it got here it just had a lighter plug and 24 volts instead of 12 volts as advertised. It required 180 watts to run which meant a simple AC-DC converter was no good, I needed a large converter for something like this. I started looking around and was shocked to see how much a 180w one would cost, it just wasn't worth it for this little rice cooker. I was able to get a decent full size for the price of the converter, so I picked it up to test and review. Everything exceeded my expectations with this 150w ac to dc converter, had no problems with this rice cooker. There can be two explanations for this, so don't think you'll pull what I did and here's why. The first explanation is that the rice cooker really sucks (which it mostly did) and its power consumption was less than advertised. My main proof of this is that the converter has a really neat feature: it has an LED meter that shows its power output. This display showed 1.25V every time I used it, but it shows that even when nothing is connected, so I could be wrong. The second thing that might explain its ability to handle it is that most of the converters I looked at had a power limit, most of which were 20-30 watts above base output power. When I looked at this one and when it went into the guide information here I couldn't tell that it has a power limit. If that's the case and it's just a guess on my part, that explains it. In addition, I like the slim design and the presence of two USB Type-A ports and one USB Type-C port. This makes it very convenient if for some reason you need additional charging ports. When you are traveling or relaxing in a park with electricity, this converter is great for connecting an electric cooler or using an electric stove. Then plug the cooler back in if you have both like mine but my cooler has an outlet but some don't. Overall it stood up very well, it's also very well built, you can see and feel it when you hold it in your hands. I don't find any flaws in this converter and I really like it, I give it five stars.
