Review on MASTERCOOL 70092 Flaring Double Cutting by Mike Malvo

This set let me down when I needed it. I ordered this flare kit to replace the broken one. He won't make a bell without bending the tube, which will destroy the bell and require you to cut off the protruding tube and start over. After four tries, when I saw the adapter immediately start tipping, and even though the adapter was true, I checked the stem and yoke taper with vernier calipers for the cause. The reason is poor quality control. The torch pole has a hole for the threaded portion of the wing nut as well as a flange that needs to be unrolled to allow the two poles to align. In any case, after aligning the clamp, the adapter will still be offset from center. It seems like a good kit, but it needs to be reworked because it doesn't work. Now I have a jeep with no brakes until I find a better flaring kit.
