Got this top for gardening and/or things like kayaking/SUP in slightly cooler weather. I used it for SUP in early September on Mackinac Island at sunset were it was in the low 70s and didn't get either cold (from the cool water/cool breeze) or from doing a strenuous activity for 2 hours, so I think it works well in that regard. No idea if it provides sun protection or not.It fits well except is too short where the shirt is cut in a V on the sides; your sides are almost certainly going to get exposed when raising your arms unless you have a particularly short torso. This annoys me--I'd buy a crop if I wanted it--but you may like it if you like that style.
