A completely ordinary product, nothing remarkable.
The impressions of the model are mixed. On the one hand, this laptop can be called, if not innovative, then at least a step into the future. And if we ignore the shortcomings listed above, then the machine leaves only positive impressions. But on the other hand, problems with the sound of the keyboard and touchpad make you draw attention to yourself, which is unacceptable for a laptop with an official cost in the 2022 of 175 and at the same time not having a decent video card and inferior in other performance characteristics from its "competitors". Before this model, I actively used the niche MacBook Air 13 mid 2022 and it did not cause me any questions at all for 4 years of use. And the weak old man could be forgiven for lags in the UI. Yes, and he worked in such a way that he constantly amazed me with how he could cope with the loads assigned to him in the face of a lack of RAM and with a no longer fresh CPU. And something, but there were no questions to the keyboard and touchpad. But from the first day there were complaints about the model under discussion, and this is already talking about something.
- Appearance and dimensions. The sound from the standard speakers (you won’t listen to them, but using other genres as an example, they can create a wow effect). The presence of TouchID. The Touch Bar, although unusual and the benefits of it sucked from the finger, is more of a virtue than a drawback. Keyboard (accurate backlighting and pleasant keystroke). Display.
- The keyboard sounds unpleasant. And it's not even that she became louder. The problem is that different keys sound different. It seems that those keys that are located closer to the edges of the keyboard do not sound problematic, but those that are located in the center of the keyboard create an unpleasant contrast. Touchpad. It is not clear why it is so huge, because I have not found a practical application for this. At the same time, due to its size, it bends in places (there are not enough points of support at the base) and creates the impression of marriage or flaws. In addition, the sound that it makes as an imitation of a click is simply terrible and does not pretend to be present in such an expensive technique. There are graphics issues. Mission Control constantly lags, and it doesn't matter which video card is currently being used. However, on the beta version of macOS High Sierra, this problem does not appear at first glance. Artifacts have also been seen in XCode, with some UI elements being painted pink.
