This is a great camera for capturing kids and pets on the go! I first had a J1 and was very happy with it I never missed it so I decided to buy a used V1 from Revain. I liked it so much I now have two V1s! I like the mechanical shutter and the viewfinder - I use the viewfinder more than the V1's screen. I wear the J1 when I want to travel light or just for everyday snaps and take the V1 when I want to focus on more planned shots. Some people complain about noise in images, but I like the look of the film on V1 images (I usually add grain in post). I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to lug around a heavy DSLR!
