Great concept and definitely worth it. I installed them on a 2018 Yamaha Kodiak that is used regularly in the Alaskan outback. Since there is no attachment point at the bottom of the bag to hold it in place, I installed two eyebolts through the bottom panels on each side. They are not water repellent but are slightly more water repellent than a cotton shirt in a wet t-shirt competition. The zips are obviously not waterproof, so if you drive through swampland they will flood. Once water enters them, they will hold it. I recommend a drainage hole at the bottom. The zippers leave a lot to be desired. Every time I open or close them I feel like I'm breaking them. Would recommend a "higher performance" zipper for user confidence.
