Review on Solar Rope String Lights: LED Solar Powered 33Ft 100 LEDs Fairy Lights for Outdoor Garden Party Decoration - Multicolor, 1 Pack by Kristina Kajer

This tether light was ordered on August 24, 2021. Its length is perfect for my application. The warm white light and brightness were just right for the soft illumination of the front door. The solar panel only had direct morning light so 6-8 hours of operation was acceptable. The really big issue I had (past tense) was reliability. The string of lights only lasted about 3 1/2 months before it stopped working. He died very unexpectedly. Apparently the output voltage from the solar panel is detected and when the voltage across the panel goes low the LEDs will light up. Something happened in the circuit, so any light on the panel is enough to turn off the LEDs. It used to work fine, but now the lantern at 20 feet is enough to keep the panel charging and the LEDs off. If I lay the panel face down on the floor the LEDs will light up, but lifting the panel just 1/4 inch off the floor allows enough light to come out to turn off the LEDs. I do not recommend this light rope and will not buy it again. There are so many to choose from, there has to be one that has been running for over 3 1/2 months.
