For those of you with new puppies and those looking for a long-term solution to everyday life, this box is not for you. BUT this cage is not designed to withstand violent puppies or everyday use. This drawer is nice though, as it was designed to be portable (hence Home N Go), a drawer that you can quickly put on and take off. Since it was the biggest little box I could pack in my car at the time, I carried my big cocker down the stairs, taped the bottom and held the bottom in place. My box withstood MUCH higher conditions than expected. It's also a great box if you want something that's foldable, lightweight, and easy to set up. For example, if I take my Cocker to a dog show, it's perfect for that. NO soft walled crate is good for a puppy - a hard plastic or wire stick. Home 'N Go is also great when I need to lock up my Cocker for a while while I work with my Border Collie. (My BC pup has a wire handle and a hard plastic box). So, as with most things, if you use the product as intended, it works well. I wouldn't mind a stronger mesh either and while I haven't had any issues with the zippers I hope they continue to work.
