Review on WD 5TB My Passport for Mac Portable External Hard Drive: USB-C, USB-A Compatible, Blue by Kenta Kato ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like the product, the quality didn't let me down.

I have such a drive in the 1 TB version, there is a USB-C connector on both sides. I chose this one specifically for Mac, precisely because of the connector. this time I took the 5 TB version, also marked for Mac. which is typical, exactly the same disk, but without "for Mac" costs 2022 less. I decided to overpay for the connector and what do I see in this configuration? yes, it says "for Mac", but in fact this version is with the "wrong" USB 3.0 and an adapter to Type C. I'm attaching a photo. if you want to save money - take the version without "for Mac", the product is the same.

Pros
  • traditionally high quality WD, volume
Cons
  • identical to the "non-Mac" version, which costs 2022 less there are no rubber "paws", which were in the 1 TB version.

Different pros: Lightweight, compact, excellent build quality. By the way, the country of origin is Malaysia. Got cons: These have not been found.
