Because the factory size was not available, I installed 235/50 R18 tires on my Hyundai ix35. If I'm being completely honest, I anticipated that there would be an excessive amount of rigidity; but, in practice, my expectations were not fulfilled. The combination of great handling with a pleasing level of softness (for profile 50) results in a pleasurable driving experience. When the track is wet, the asymmetric tread pattern is able to deal with the removal of water relatively rapidly, making it easier to navigate any water barriers that may be present. The tires are able to absorb shocks pretty effectively, even when going over bumps and gravel roads.
