The same monitor connected directly to the laptop (HP Envy 360) works without problems. When using a hub, the same monitor goes blank for a few seconds every 10-20 minutes. This was HP's recommended model for the Envy 360, and it costs a lot more than many other devices on the market, but has the problem of running a single-monitor monitor. I wanted to use a hub to connect a monitor, keyboard, mouse and DVD recorder with one port while sitting on a computer desk with a laptop. I've had good luck with HP in the past, a few desktops and a few laptops. Bought Envy 360, broke after 3 days. The replacement works, but there seem to be strange glitches from time to time, but not repeatable ones. Now the hub recommended by HP is not working properly. It's time to move away from HP going forward.
