Inconclusive data: Spray repellent

Not sure if placebo effect or not but given the price I'll just give it a try. I have sprayed carpets every time my pup has had an accident. The strangest thing is that he likes it, he jumps towards the fog when I spray and lick the carpet. And of all available spots other than grass, he likes to go onto carpet (rather than linoleum/wood/concrete). Here's what I did: When he peed, after wiping off as much urine as I could with a paper towel, I would spray upholstery cleaner, wipe it off, and blot it too. I then sprayed it on over a large area. If he poops, after throwing the poo out, I've sprayed bleach, blotted it, sprayed upholstery cleaner and scrubbed. Attach the label and then spray on. I assume this works until the smell goes away? Because he does it anyway. I have a corgi and he (thankfully) makes potty training easier. This can help, but you'll need to use other methods to reinforce potty training to keep him out of the house. Since I have a yard, I set up a bell to teach him how to ring when he needs to go out. But he'll still pee if I don't have time.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
