I'll be as brief as possible while still giving the big picture: I have them on three bikes and am in the process of buying another one for my ultimate tire . They absolutely make a difference and do exactly what they are supposed to do. I'm a fairly heavy rider at 220 pounds or so and they let me ride a solid 5psi lighter than usual. Most importantly, I now have big 2.8" tires and they are notorious for squirming in the bike park. The plane stops it. Now for the installation: Yes, with the first installation. You will learn all sorts of new and obnoxious four letter words. Still far from Faff with Kashkor. Very close. And once you understand how to seat the tire in the right place on the rim, it's literally no different than fitting a tire without an insert. It was a real turning point for me. One of the coolest things they do (and it's very subtle) is to dampen the feel of the tire. It's **almost** like a suspension. better It's not radical, but pretty obvious.
