Review on Acer Projector Projection Bluetooth MR JRZ11 00B by Craig Galante

NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME

Where do I start. Lighting. very bad lighting. I had trouble reading the projector's menus because the projection was very bright when the projector was more than 3 feet from the white screen I was using. If you look at the projector add-on, you have no idea how far off this guitarist's projection is. I think they photoshopped a light image and then made it huge. To get a picture that big you would have to be 15 feet away and it would be nowhere near as easy to see as the ads in a room that bright, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Remote control. in the same room and under the same conditions, unless I point it directly at an IR point less than 1ft away, it won't accept a remote command. portrait mode. It's really kind of a deal. I was hoping I could flip the switch on the projector and put it in portrait mode. No, you have to use their own app to mirror your phone in portrait mode. You can't just call Bluetooth directly to the projector, you have to go through their app. By the way, their app gets two stars from people who rate it. You need to register, give them your phone number etc etc manual. I had to use a magnifying glass to read the tiny imprint and the manual only gives the bare minimum of information. I struggled to connect to Wi-Fi easily because the menu wasn't very helpful. Overall, I think it's a great idea, but like I said, it's not prime-time ready, not even anywhere near as cheap.
