The EVGA SATA power cable wasn't angled as much, preventing me from closing the Alienware computer case. This rectangular cable was just what I needed to power my drive. I connected one end to the hard drive and the other to EVGA's SATA power cable and that's it. Also, it's a Y-cable, and the second SATA power supply is long enough to reach my bottom 2.5" drive bays (which aren't populated yet).
