It was so close to a perfect 5 stars. Being able to use A or C is very helpful to me as I've tried to migrate to USBC wherever I could although my school hasn't even thought about it. When you transport or use it, no side sticks out, so I'm not worried about the quality in that regard. The kit comes with a weird keychain that seems to get in the way, but I don't plan on using it anyway. The read speed is exactly what you would expect from a 3.0 drive. What about write speed? Something fishy is going on. When copying a large file, I noticed that the write speed dropped from 60MB/s for a few seconds, and then dropped to 0 (or just a few KB/s) for much longer than before. high speed. I'm guessing there's a fast 128MB/256MB cache that needs to clear itself before it can handle more data at the high speeds that USB 3.0 allows. If write speed is important to you, I am sorry to say that you will need to look elsewhere for a dual AC drive or simply invest in a dongle for your current fast one. I would give this 2 stars for false advertising but the build quality is really good enough to earn some extra. If you need it for small files and just want something versatile, this might be fine if that's your use case.
