I bought three of these trees - pink, turquoise (blue) and red. I've only opened one so far, the pink one that I use for my pink flamingo decorations. You need to fluff up a lot to get the full look, but this works for me as I like to show my decorations more than branches. Taking off a star because my TREE TOPPER is gone! Don't box it to send back as I might be able to put something else inside, but still. Also, "pre-illuminated" is misleading. This gives you a thread of light that you have to hang on a tree yourself. I hate it - one of the reasons I bought it is because I don't like turning on the light and trying to get it right. But you can live with that - no reason to return. I don't know if the other two trees have tops - I'll find out when I open them. I love that I can indulge my love of color and get three different trees for what one large tree would cost. They are very light so a widow like me is much easier to handle - my husband is used to dragging a big tree around. As "pencil" trees, they also don't take up as much space as larger trees. Now I can arrange them in different rooms and create a festive atmosphere throughout the house! Overall, I'm glad I chose small trees throughout the house instead of one central one. were missing (the other two trees turned out to contain the stars). So I thought her answer was pretty fair. I also noticed something else: the rosewood has a very matt surface on the "needles". Very soft appearance and very pretty. Both the red and blue tree are definitely tinsel needles - very shiny and reflective. Both are very cute but completely different.
