I bought these for making sauerkraut and carrot starter. They work great as they keep the veggies submerged, but I have to use a fork to pull them out. There's another one that has a bridge that can be picked up instead of some kind of button. I'll try that next time to see if it's easier to get it out of the brine. Otherwise the product does what it is supposed to do and if nothing else was available I would buy this again. I will review another product when I order and use this one to compare the results. Fermenting is fun and very good for our bodies, and this little device makes it so much easier.
