This cutter works great IF you have the power of an Amazon! It was difficult for me to work as it required a lot of strength. But the slicing was great and saved a ton of time as we actually diced the potatoes for profit, so used a fry cutter and then cut the 'fries' by hand. It saved a lot of time. The blade of the cutter is very sharp and even with very careful handling when cleaning, minor cuts can occur.
