I have been using book lights since the "little book light" came out many years ago. I try pretty much every light that comes out. The LuminoLite 3000K combines everything that was great about previous standalone lamps into a book lamp. The light is soft, like a good incandescent bulb. It's as bright as an LED (and has 3 settings that can be adjusted depending on the ambient light). The design provides full light for the entire page (other lights fade to the bottom of the page). No special charger required: micro USB is used. Finally, the adjustable neck is "soft", easy to adjust to the optimal position. This is a great gift for students returning to school. The perfect book/night light! Highly recommended
