Update 02/08/20: As another customer noted, the tip of the kitchen towel holder picks up nasty residue over time and is very difficult to clean - I use detergent , toothpicks and paper towels . Come back with some medicinal alcohol to kill whatever grows there. I could drill a hole in the bottom or just replace them with steel that are open at the bottom. ***The towel bar I received has a sticky backing, not a suction cup as mentioned in other reviews. I wanted a sticky back. The glue on the back of these clips isn't the best. It fell a few times after positioning it and pressing it against the clean edge of the countertop where I needed it. I didn't put anything inside at night so it could stick tight. It wasn't like that. However, with a little help from Shoe Goo (who doesn't know Shoe Goo, you can find out about him on the Internet - he solves a lot of small, annoying problems for a penny. I always have a box of tubes with me "glue"), that is the place it should be. I use this by tucking the corner of a kitchen towel into the slot and hanging it right where I want it and out of the way. Thanks for the simple solution and the more efficient design of my kitchen.
