Review on 🔌 OWC USB-C Travel Dock: 5 Port Hub with USB 3.1, HDMI, SD Card, 100W Power Pass Through - Space Grey by Mitchell Norman

I saw this dock for the first time and thought it would fit my desk perfectly and also offer decent portability. The connectivity and connectivity options are great, and the outer shell is of good weight and quality. The biggest issue, and that's enough to account for everything previously mentioned to still count 1 star, is that the plastic pieces holding the top of the case over the circuit board are incredibly brittle. I have now purchased and returned this item twice and both times either due to poor quality control or bumpy shipping the top of the case was broken clean when I got to it. After taking a closer look, I found that my problem is not unique, there have been several instances of this dock breaking due to plastic parts and the top part detaching. I liked the idea and aesthetics of this dock, but I am very dissatisfied with the performance and quality of the OWC products. I'm still waiting for the return process of my second order of this product, which also arrived piecemeal. If this happens to you, save yourself the trouble and buy one of the other docks that do essentially the same thing.
