Review on Filtrete Maximum Filtration Reduces 3US MAX F01 by Noah Lewis

I have been using the 3M Filtrete 3US-MAX-F01 water filter for many years. There are many fake 3M Filtrete filters out there and they are very, very cheap. However, they are not tested and certified. So they have no way of knowing if their claims are justified. So I will still buy a more expensive brand name that I know needs to be tested and meet US standards. I mainly use a water filter to filter out chlorine and particles. The 3US-MAX-F01 filters out particles as small as 0.5 to 1 micron. It is exactly the same as 3US-PF01 except MAX can also filter lead. I assume my city water is safe, so the cyst filter feature isn't that important to me. I don't really know if I need lead filters - I need to test the water in my city apartment for it. If my water tests turn out to be lead safe, I might consider upgrading to 3US-PF01 next time if the MAX price is too high. Note: 3US-PS01 and 3US-PF01 are the same in terms of the filter used. PS01 includes both filter and bracket assembly. PF01 is just a filter. The MAX-F01 filter uses the same bracket assembly as the 3US-PS01/3US-AS01/3US-MAX-S01.
